Paying for Membership


Joining Handouts Online is very easy.

First create an account with us. You can choose to pay with either PayPal or 2Checkout. Both provide secure payment online. It's encrypted, and we don't get your card details.

PayPal nowadays covers almost all countries. When you click through to the PayPal page, look for the link that lets you pay by credit card. You don't need to have a PayPal account.

On the secure card payment page, start by selecting the country for the billing address of the card. Remember that the address of the card may be different to where you're teaching.

You can pay by any credit card or debit card. The amount will automatically be converted from US Dollars to your home currency.

You'll know that the payment has gone through when you're taken back to the Handouts Online confirmation page. You'll also have two emails within a minute of two. One is from PayPal, and the other from us, confirming your login details. When you pay by card, you get instant access as soon as the payment has gone through.

You don't need to create a PayPal account.

PayPal has a link on their payment page for PayPal members to log in an pay that way. However, if you don't have an account with them, just look for the link on the payment page which lets you pay by credit card or debit card.

You'll then be able to enter your card details securely.

Handouts Online is also able to accept payment by card through 2Checkout as an alternative to PayPal. They offer secure online payment and it's instant.

2Checkout is a company that lets you pay for Handouts Online membership by credit card or debit card.

As with PayPal, 2Checkout allows you to make a secure payment, and then get instant access to all the worksheets. Your credit card details are not passed on to Handouts Online and the payment is not recurring. You won't be charged again.

2Checkout covers almost every country in the world.

Even if your country is covered by PayPal, you can still choose to pay through 2Checkout.

Yes. But don't worry - your credit / debit card company will automatically convert the amount to your local currency.

Yes. Debit cards are treated in the same way as a credit card.

It depends. PayPal allows bank transfer (sometimes called eCheck) for some users. However, it depends on which country you're making the payment from.

If you're having difficulties, there are a few things to check:

  1. Enter the billing address for the card
  2. Many teachers live overseas, or at a different address to where the card is registered. Make sure the address you enter is the BILLING address for the card.
  3. The Cardholder's Name
  4. Make sure you enter the name exactly as it's written on the card.
  5. The 'Card Verification Number'
  6. You'll need to enter the Card Verification Number, which is a 3-digit number on the back of the card. It's usually written on the signature strip. It's the FINAL THREE DIGITS on the back.

  7. The Expiry Date
  8. Make sure you enter the expiry date correctly, and that you don't mix up the month and year.

You will get two emails. One is an emailed receipt from PayPal (or 2Checkout).

You'll also get a 'welcome' email from us, which confirms your account, and the login details you chose.

You can log into the account you have created. If you can't remember the login details, you can request a reminder online.

On your account dashboard, click or touch the button marked 'Add / Renew Membership.

You then need to choose the membership type, and then select PayPal or 2Checkout as the payment method. Both offer secure, instant payment by credit card or debit card.

Handouts Online can refund payments which have been made in error - for example a double payment. If you think you have paid twice - or you're not sure if a payment went through - just get in touch with us. We'll quickly check and refund a second payment.

As we are a download service, we are unable to refund payments after a member has logged in and downloaded worksheets.

Remember that your membership will not automatically renew - we won't take any further payment from you unless you choose to renew. Most members do renew, however, and we offer fantastic discounts. It's our way of saying thank you for using our worksheets in your classes!

No. We don't have your card details, and accounts don't renew automatically. However, most members do renew, and subsequent years are at a fantastic discount to our regular prices.

You can check the current offer by logging in to your account and clicking on the button for the membership renewal page.

You don't need to wait for your current membership to finish before renewing. We'll add the renewal membership period to the end of the current one.
